How to Start a Fundraiser on Wenkendi

Short answer

To start a fundraiser on Wenkendi, create a free account, choose a category, set a realistic goal and an end date, write a short honest story, add a clear photo, then publish and share the link. Most organizers finish in under 10 minutes.

Step 1: Create your account

Sign up with your email, name, and phone number. Your account is how Wenkendi keeps your fundraiser, your messages from supporters, and your payout settings in one place.

Step 2: Choose the cause and category

Pick the category that matches your cause — for example medical, education, emergency, community, church, school, memorial, or small business. Categories are suggestions that help supporters find you. If nothing fits, choose "Other" and explain the cause in your story.

Step 3: Set a realistic goal

Add up the actual costs you need to cover and use that number as your goal. Specific goals are easier for supporters to trust than round numbers with no explanation. Break the total down in your story so people can see where their donation goes.

Step 4: Choose your end date carefully

Wenkendi fundraisers run for 14, 30, or 60 days. Your end date matters because it affects when you can request funds, so choose a length that matches how quickly you need support and how long you can keep promoting the campaign.

Step 5: Write your story and add a photo

Explain who you are, who the funds are for, what the money will pay for, and what happens if you reach the goal. Add one clear, well-lit photo that shows the person, place, team, or project at the center of the fundraiser.

Step 6: Publish and share

After publishing, share the link everywhere your community already gathers: text messages, group chats, social posts, email, church bulletins, team rosters, and school newsletters. Fundraisers that are shared in the first 48 hours usually gain momentum faster, because early donations show newcomers that other people already believe in the cause.

What to expect after your first donations

  • Donations are held for 14 days for fraud and chargeback review.
  • Wenkendi charges a 5% platform fee. Payment-processing fees charged by the payment partner are separate.
  • Supporters can send you private messages through the Message Organizer button.
  • You can post updates and keep sharing your link until your end date.
