What Wenkendi is, and how it works.
Wenkendi is a community-driven online fundraising platform where people create fundraisers for permitted causes — dreams, emergencies, education, medical needs, community projects, churches, schools, and other approved purposes. Our slogan is Funding Dreams Together.
How Wenkendi works
Create a free account, choose a category, set a goal and an end date of 14, 30, or 60 days, write your story, and publish. Supporters donate on your fundraiser page, and you share the link with your community. Read the full walkthrough in our guide to starting a fundraiser.
Who can use Wenkendi
Individuals, families, churches, schools, PTO/PTA groups, booster clubs, nonprofits, and community organizations. Organizers raising funds for an organization confirm their affiliation and that they are authorized to raise funds on its behalf. Anyone can donate — an account is not required to give.
What types of fundraising we support
Medical needs, emergencies, memorials and funerals, education and tuition, school and church programs, community projects, small businesses, missions, sports and band, and personal milestones. Categories are suggestions — if none fits, choose "Other" and explain the cause. Permitted uses are defined in our Community Guidelines.
How donations work
The minimum donation is $10, with no maximum. Payments are processed securely by our payment partner; Wenkendi never stores card numbers. Wenkendi charges a 5% platform fee. Payment-processing fees charged by the payment partner are separate. Donations are held for 14 days before becoming available for withdrawal — details are in our Payout Policy.
Safety and verification
Every donation goes through a 14-day hold for fraud and chargeback review. Organizers can complete identity verification, and larger payouts may require it. Reported campaigns can be paused, held, or removed, and admin actions are recorded in an audit log. See Security and our fundraising safety tips.
