Frequently Asked Questions

Questions organizations ask.

Can a school, church, or nonprofit create a fundraiser?

Yes. When you create a campaign, select the beneficiary type that matches your organization. You'll be asked to provide the organization name, your role, and confirm you are authorized to raise funds on their behalf. This information is displayed on your page to reassure donors.

What kinds of campaigns work best for churches and schools?

The most successful campaigns tell a clear story with a specific goal. Popular examples include mission outreach, youth programs, school resources, athletic programs, band programs, food pantry support, emergency assistance, and community initiatives.

How do we receive the funds?

Donations are processed securely. After a 14-day hold for fraud and chargeback protection, funds become available for withdrawal. You can request a payout to your connected bank account from your Wenkendi dashboard.

Are donations tax-deductible?

Wenkendi does not issue tax receipts. If your organization is a registered nonprofit, you should provide donors with your own tax-deductible receipt according to your local laws and regulations.

Can multiple people manage one campaign?

The fundraiser is tied to the account that created it. We recommend designating one primary organizer who can share updates and manage the page. Team members can help promote the campaign by sharing the public link.

What happens if we don't reach our goal?

You keep every donation you receive. Wenkendi does not use all-or-nothing funding. Funds become available after the 14-day hold regardless of whether the goal was reached.

How do we keep our supporter list private?

Use the Privacy & Display Options on your fundraiser to hide the amount raised, goal, supporters, or any section you prefer. You have full control over what donors and visitors see.
