Decide the purpose before you launch

Church giving works best when the purpose is concrete and time-bound: a mission trip in July, a van repair, a pantry restock before the holidays. Name the purpose in the fundraiser title.

Choose an accountable organizer

Have your pastor or board designate one organizer, and confirm in the fundraiser story that this person is authorized to raise funds for the church. Wenkendi asks organizers raising for an organization to confirm that authorization.

Common church fundraisers

• Mission trips and short-term outreach teams
• Youth ministry, camps, and retreats
• Food pantries and community meals
• Building repairs, sound equipment, and vans
• Member emergencies, funerals, and benevolence funds

Invite the whole congregation to share

Announce the link from the pulpit, in the bulletin, and in ministry group chats. Encourage members to share it with family outside the church — many mission trips are funded largely by people who never attend a service.

Close the loop

Share photos and a short thank-you after the trip, the repair, or the outreach event. Transparency builds the trust that makes the next campaign possible.
